FRERS 33.5m SLOOP - 2016
Cygnus Montanus is a beautiful lifting keel ocean going sloop built for experienced owners, designed by German Frers of Frers Naval Architecture, with interior design by Adam Lay Studio.
Her owners are proper sailors who undertake lengthy voyages, enjoying the journey as much if not more than the destination. This approach to sailing infuenced the style and size of the yacht, with a key requirement being that it be easy to handle by a small crew
and the owners. Together with the Frers team they developed an aesthetically pleasant modern, light, yacht that would be both easily driven and fast, while cruising in all areas of the world
Adam Lay Studio created a a family- focused and very personal open plan apartment style interior, where you can virtually see from the forward bulkhead to the aft bulkhead. The interior makes use of teak, sycamore and painted and fabric panels. Vibrant fabrics add splashes of colour. The whole main living area, apart from the cabins, is open plan and skylights make the space feel light and bright. The interior was expertly executed by Yachting Developments specialist interiors team.
A clean practical deck layout and modern carbon fibre, roller furling boom complete the picture of this stunning yacht.
