ANGEL
LANGAN 84' SLOOP LAUNCHED 2007
Angel is a sailing yacht that, in years to come, will be hard to date. Designer Bill Langan has taken certain style characteristics from classic New England sailing yachts and put a modern spin on them to produce a timeless and practical sailing yacht.
The profile features a pronounced overhanging bow and a counter stern with retrousse transom in the style of her New England forebears. A low deck superstructure runs for approximately three quarters of the length of the deck. The styling of the superstructure is distinctly modern with stepped geometric forms defining the boundaries but the profile clearly shows her New England pedigree.
Angel has two cockpits, the aft cockpit being a designated sailing cockpit dominated by a single leather covered carbon fibre steering wheel at the aft end. The aft cockpit, with its own dodger, will be a well protected spot in heavy conditions.
The interior maintains the same contemporary spin on a classic theme. The interior surfaces are finished predominantly in varnished teak, but instead of traditional raised and fielded panels, flat panels with both horizontal and vertical grains have been used in places to create a very modern look.
With her sleek lines and timeless styling, Angel will certainly not go unnoticed while cruising her home waters of New England.
